In Remembrance Of

Warren Karrasch
Warren Arthur Karrasch went to be with his Lord and savior on August 29th, 2025.
He was born on August 18, 1957 to Bill Arthur and Clara Nadine (Jackson) Karrasch. He graduated from East Buchanan High School in Gower, MO in 1975. Warren married his high school sweetheart, Cathy Lee Kerns, on October 11, 1980.
Warren was a hard-working provider for his wife, kids, and grandkids. He served the community in many ways including coaching his kids sports, serving many years on the City Council, and as mayor. He enjoyed many years playing softball and running the Gower Men’s softball league. He was an avid Chiefs and Royals fan who had a special enthusiasm for George Brett. He loved and enjoyed his family and friends. Sundays he could usually be found grilling or smoking meat for his family. According to his grandkids “Papa made the best ribs.” Deer season was a special time of year for him, where he enjoyed talking and telling stories in the garage as much as the actual hunting. Telling stories with friends was his favorite pastime any time of the year, noted by his Wednesday night prayer meetings.
Warren is survived by wife, Cathy, of the home in Gower, MO; children, Brett, Gladstone, MO and Brad, Gower, MO; grandchildren, Reed, William, and Charlotte; mother, Nadine, Easton, MO; sisters, Linda Utley (Steve), Gower, MO, and Lori Caylor (Jerry), Easton, MO; sister-in-law, Debbie (Kerns) Silvius, Hemple, MO and Susan (Powell) Kerns, Shawnee, KS; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Warren is preceded in death by his father; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy Jean and Doris Lee (Coffey) Kerns; and brother-in-law, Jim Kerns.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 2nd at the Gower Christian Church AFC Building.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 3rd at the Gower Christian Church AFC Building.
Burial: Kerns Freeman Cemetery, Easton, MO.
Donations may be made to the Gower Convalescent Center for the Activities Department, or the City of Gower for the Gower Parks Department.
