Velma Jean O’Brien
Velma Jean (Fowler) O’Brien, 98, of rural Easton MO, devoted Mother, Grandmother, and
Great Grandmother passed away Oct. 8, 2026.
Velma Jean was born Feb. 7, 1928, to Herman and Marchie (Lewallen) Fowler.
On Aug. 27, 1946, she married Thomas (Leo) O’Brien in St. Joseph MO. They farmed

Mildred and Marjorie, brother Bill, and granddaughter Abbi.
Velma Jean is survived by her four sons and their wives (her daughters the easy way): Michael and Janet, Canton GA, Tom and Cindy, Liberty MO, Terry and Jennifer, Tim and Francine, Easton MO, eight grandchildren Wesley (Ashley), Meagan (Chris), Jaime (Mike), Taren (Patrick), Shannon, James, Anna (Tyler), Josiah (Rachel) and fifteen great grandchildren.
