Steve Schuster
Steven Carl Schuster, 72 of Gower, MO passed away July 1, 2025.
He was born on October 27, 1952, to Jewell C. “Bill” and Dorothy Maxine (Moore) Schuster in St. Joseph, MO. Steve grew up in Gower and graduated from East Buchanan High School.
Steve married Jean Arnold, they had two children Kelly and Melynda and his step-daughter Taci and they later divorced. On October 5, 1991, he was united in marriage to Terri Morrow Evans. They lived in rural Gower where they made their home. After their retirement they traveled the United States and for the last 5 years they lived in Yuma, Arizona. They recently returned to the area.
He was a member of the Gower Christian Church.
Steve worked for Schuster Farms, Purina, BMS and retired from Johnson Controls. He and Terri were local D.J.’s owning A Night to Remember. Steve taught himself how to drive a team of Belgium Quarter Horses and would drive them in parades and give people rides. Steve enjoyed farming, helping anyone and everyone he could, had a love for music and spending time with friends. Most of all Steve loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Maxine Schuster; his step-daughter Beth Ann Evans; and his grandson Alex.
Steve is survived by his wife Terri Schuster; his children Kelly Schuster, Melynda (Sean) Barnett, Deeanna (Steve) Lichtenegger and Daniel (Lori Blake) Evans; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six sisters; his fur babies Bella and Harry; numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m. with Funeral Service 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 8th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Gower, MO.
Burial: Allen Cemetery, Gower, MO.
Donations may be made to EBHS FFA or the Allen Cemetery.

So sorry to hear of Steve’s passing. I remember his humor in high school and enjoyed “visiting” with him on Facebook occasionally. My sincere sympathies to his family.
