Roger Johnson

Roger Johnson, 69, of Smithville, MO passed away, September 1, 2026.

He was born on March 27, 1957 to Earl Dean and Betty Jean (Ratliff) Johnson in Smithville, MO. He grew up in Smithville and graduated from Smithville High School in 1975. Roger lived in Coffeyville, KS, Huntington Beach, CA and Norwalk, CA and returned to Smithville where he made his home.

Roger worked in construction most of his life and owned and operated R&R Construction in Los Angeles, CA. He played pool for many years and played in a pool league. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends and loved football and was an avid Chief’s fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bobby Johnson.

Roger is survived by his brothers, Ron (Norma) Johnson, Rick (Rhonda) Johnson, Randy Johnson, Ray (Bernadette) Johnson; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation: 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, September 11th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Smithville, MO.
