In Remembrance Of

Pauline Hawkins
Pauline (Pasco) Hawkins, 98, of Gower, will be remembered for her hard work, warm heart, and deep devotion to her family.
On October 19, 1975 she was united in marriage to Lowell “Bemo” Hawkins. After their marriage they lived in rural Gower where they farmed and made their home. Her husband, Bemo, preceded her in death on May 22, 2016.
Pauline worked at the Mead factory for 55 years, becoming its longest-serving employee. Retirement may have been official, but Pauline clearly didn’t get the memo. She kept tending to her beloved farm and picking walnuts and pecans until her passing. There was always something that needed doing.
Above all, Pauline was devoted to her family. She worked hard to support the people she loved and was always there for them. Friendly, caring, and generous, she leaves a lasting example of love and perseverance.
Pauline is survived by her two children, Karen and Gary, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family will cherish their memories with her and the love she gave so freely. They’ll also remember her, lovingly, as “too damn bullheaded to give up”—and wouldn’t have wanted her any other way.
