Jerry Cox
Jerry Seaton Cox of Weston, MO passed away January 5, 2026.
He was born on May 24, 1941, to Jack Seaton and Martha Agnes (Gardner) Cox in Leavenworth, KS. He grew up in Weston and in 1959 he graduated from North Platte High School. Jerry received his bachelor’s degree in 1963 from the University of Missouri in Columbia where he was a member of the FarmHouse Fraternity.
On September 14, 1963, he was united in marriage to Marjorie L. Tinder. After their marriage they lived on their family farm in Weston.
Jerry was a lifelong farmer. He was also a co-owner of J&J Auction and New Deal Tobacco Warehouse.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Martha Cox; his brothers Michael Cox and Larry Cox; and his sisters Diane Good and Sharon Anderson.
Jerry is survived by his wife Margie Cox; his son Jeff Cox and wife Connie; grandchildren Keri Rotterman and husband John, Michelle Katzenmeier and husband Jesse and Jarry Cox and wife Rachel; great-grandchildren Parker (Hannah), Clayton, Mya, Dylan, Lincoln, and Jensen; great-great granddaughter Ruthy SueAnne; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Celebration of Life and Fish Fry: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17th at Cox Seed and Supply, 23640 Hwy V, Dearborn, MO 64439.
Donations may be made to Three Rivers Hospice.
