Jane Martin
Jane Marie Martin, 55, of Kansas City, MO passed away June 23, 2026.
She was born on August 29, 1970. Jane grew up in the Smithville area and graduated from Smithville High School.
Jane loved books, plants, dogs, and didn’t know a stranger. Most of all, she loved being a mom and grandma.
She was preceded in death by her mother Linda Stout.
Jane is survived by her children Anthony Martin, Zachary Martin and Cecilia Gartman; her grandchildren Illiza, Samantha and Jack and two more to be born soon; other relatives and many friends.
The family will host a Celebration of Life Visitation from 2:00-4:00 p.m. August 29, 2026 at the Smithville Activity Center in Smithville, MO.

I’m so devastated first one of our generation to go that I grew up with. I remember still her helping me to get ready for prom, thought all the blood was going to stay in my head as I was upside down so long so she could do a backwards French braid. She was loved and will be missed.
