Jane called me 5 days before she passed. It is impossible to describe how it felt for her to simply tell me, “Goodbye, thank you for being my friend.” Our fathers worked together when we were infants, and while we attended St. James together with her brother Michael. Our friendship mattered beyond the fact that we had known each other for 70 years; that connection was enough to spark her incredibly kind gesture. Thank you, Jane, for being my friend.

You will be missed, Janie. As Jackie said, she was one of a group of friends who had known each other since our much younger days.
Spread those wings and soar high and free. You will remain in our hearts.

I will miss Janie so very much. She was a part of a group of women that have known one another since girlhood in Liberty. Our gatherings for dinners were always so much fun-loud and full of joy. Janie is the third of our group to pass in less than 2 years, but we will continue to gather and visit, laugh and remember our dear friends who will always be in our hearts.
