Evelyn Livingston
Evelyn Aletha Livingston, 91, of Gower, Missouri passed away June 11, 2026.
She was born on March 12, 1935, to James Forest and Aletha Nervime (Foster) Witt in Agency, MO where she grew up and graduated from Gower High School.
Evelyn married the love of her life Jack William Livingston on February 16, 1952, at the Gower Baptist Church by Rev. J.V. Crenshaw. They lived in the Gower area where they farmed and made their home. Jack passed away on December 2, 2020.
She worked as a lab technician for the Plattsburg Medical Clinic where she retired after 30+ years of service.
Evelyn was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Gower. She was also a 50+ year member of the Town and Country Club in Gower and the Sweet Adelines in Plattsburg. She was a wonderful singer, singing for numerous weddings and funerals, singing at the Gower Goodtimer’s, and even singing on the radio with her sister Susie in their teenage years. Evelyn enjoyed couples bowling league at the Plattsburg Bowling Ally, going to the family cabin at the Lake of the Ozarks, gardening, canning, taking care of her yard and helping with the family farm. Most of all Evelyn loved hosting family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Livingston, son and daughter-in-law Patrick and Donna Livingston, grandson Travis Spaeth, great-grandson Jacob Livingston, great-great-grandson Jaxon Livingston; sister and brother-in-law Susie and Jack Brown and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Orville and Bonnie Livingston and brother-in-law Richard Butler.
Evelyn is survived by her son Larry (Molly) Livingston, her daughter Linda (Darrel) Spaeth all of Gower; grandchildren, Matthew (Nicole) Livingston of Gower, Angela (Carrie) Livingston of Georgetown, Texas, Belinda (Matthew) Becker of Washington, MO, Bailey Livingston of Plattsburg, MO and Carly Livingston of Columbia, MO; great grandchildren, Dillon Livingston, Dakota Livingston, Alexis (Collin) Lampkin, Madison Livingston, Rhett Livingston and Cecelia and Laura Becker; great- great grandchildren Landon Livingston, Bryar Livingston, and Archer Lampkin; sister Jean Butler of Naples, Florida along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Our family will miss her smiles, laughs, hugs and her yodeling.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Gower Convalescent Center for their loving care.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 16th with Visitation one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. all at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Gower.
Burial: Mt. Zion Cemetery, Gower.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Zion Cemetery or the Gower Nursing Home.

I am so saddened to learn of your Mom’s passing. Some memories last forever, and those of both of you and your Mom and Dad will stay with me for all of my life.
