My prayers and condolences go out to the Lafollette family. I have very fond memories spending time with this family. One memory that sticks in my mind is the swing that set in the front yard that ran off a car battery. Mr. Lafollette had made this swing and did we have fun with .

I had the pleasure of working with Ellis for the last 25 years. . I enjoyed the yearly sit down visits with Ellis every winter to plan next springs seed and crop needs and mostly listen to stories of where he had been and where he had worked. I especially enjoyed the World War II stories and on occasion he would show me some pictures he had saved. He was especially proud of the work and the things he had helped build and manufacture over the many decades and often talked about his children and family. Most likely I only got bits and pieces of a much more colorful, long life and I am very glad to have had the opportunity!! His name came up often in good conversation with others and he will be missed for sure.

Roger shared the news with me the morning he passed.
He was probably the first man I ever truly respected.
I know it hurts but he had a hell of a good run !
Having had the honor to be one of the many “12th kids” that grew up in and around the family and farm I can’t express what those years still mean to me.
So many stories and just as many lessons.
I’ll forever cherish being able to look around the table at a family that would never forget where they came from and the value of family and friends.
I appreciate y’all treating me like one of your own.
Much love to everyone,
You’re in our prayers
“Bobby” 🙏

Jeanel and family – I am so very sorry to learn about the loss of Ellis. He was such a great friend to Grandma Norine, and she definitely looked forward to his morning calls, which usually stemmed from the weather report and the farm report and anything else that was going on. He was so faithful to visit her, and she cherished his visits, and, well, looked forward to him bringing her the newspapers and he also took her to many fish fries and drives, Due to health concerns among the family, I will be unable to attend the services. Please know that we send our heartfelt sympathy during this time.
