Donna Grier
Donna Dean Grier, 92, of Gower, MO passed away December 31, 2025.
She was born on September 1, 1933, to Robert Meers Rose and Margaret Beatrice (Dean) Rose in Dearborn, MO. After the passing of her mother when she was an infant and the passing of her father at the age of 5, she was raised by her grandparents Sydney and Allyn Pearl Dean. Donna graduated from Dekalb High School.
On July 9, 1953, she was united in marriage to Harold Leroy Grier. After their marriage they lived in rural Easton where they farmed and raised their children. Harold passed away on February 26, 1984.
Donna was an active member of the Gower Christian Church. She was a secretary for the East Buchanan School District. After her retirement she enjoyed working at Cool Crest in St. Joseph, MO. Donna loved music, dancing and traveling to Branson, MO. Most of all she loved being a mom and grandma.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Margaret Rose; her husband Harold Grier and her half sister Marjorie Williams.
She is survived by her children Doug (Shelley) Grier, Debby (Steve) White, Denise (Steve) Veraguth, and Ronda (Matt) Boyd; grandchildren Randi Martin, Tyler (Taylor) Grier, Betsy White, Garrett (Cara) White, Jeremy Veraguth, Christopher (Regan) Veraguth, Jacob (Kierstin) Boyd, Brian Boyd and Derek Boyd; great-grandchildren Jayden (Breckyn), Jaxson, Ryker, Trey, Tanner, Maggie, Haddie, Easton, Knox, Isabella (Austin), Ymani, Antonio, Jacin and Sophia; great-great-granddaughters Eve and Rynley; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m. with Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8th at the Gower Christian Church AFC Building.
Private family burial will be held later at Allen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be the Gower Christian Church or Mosaic Hospice.
