David Hamilton
David Alan Hamilton, of Gladstone, Missouri, passed away at his home on June 9th, 2025. He was born on July 31st, 1961, in Kansas City, Missouri, and spent his life in the communities of Kearney, Lathrop, and Gladstone, where he made lasting memories with family and friends.
David was a kind-hearted and gentle soul who found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep love for the outdoors—whether he was hunting deer, searching for morel mushrooms, fishing, or metal detecting, he always found peace and happiness in nature. His quiet strength and generous spirit touched those who knew him.
A proud graduate of Lathrop High School, Class of 1979, David dedicated much of his career to Milbank Manufacturing Company in Liberty, MO, where he was a loyal and hardworking employee.
David was preceded in death by his loving parents, Forrest M. Hamilton Sr. and Anna (Louise) Hamilton. He is survived by his devoted brother, Forrest M. Hamilton Jr. (Linda) of Gladstone, MO, and his beloved sister, Patrena Hamerle (Chris) of Pleasant Valley, MO. He also leaves behind several nieces and a nephew who adored him and will cherish his memory always.
A visitation will be held at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Smithville, MO, on Thursday, June 19th at 6:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 7:00 p.m., where family and friends will gather to honor David’s life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation in David’s memory to The Grove Church in Gladstone or Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
David will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing him.
