Darrell Wisdom
Darrell Wayne Wisdom, 71, of Gower, MO formerly of Topeka, KS passed away, August 7, 2026.
He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1972.
Darrell worked many jobs in many places in Kansas and Missouri. He mostly worked with horses, training and showing. He believed in God and was a man of very strong opinions.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Darrell Wisdom.
He is survived by his mother, Phyllis McBreairty; two sisters, Cheryll (Tom) Robb and Patty (Tim) Woodroof; three nieces and one nephew; and special cousin, Debbie Utech.
No services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite organization, church, or animal shelter

i met Darrell through Jim , he was helping Bemo Hawkins and lived out on the farm. He was a nice guy. He was pretty talented with his painting and misc crafts. we still have a painting of wolves howling at the moon painted on a wood slab. He was a good guy. Bemo enjoyed teasing him but Bemo was a character who loved teasing everyone. He took care of Darrel along with seveal other people over the years. There was never a dull moment on that farm. i have lots of good memories going out when jim was helping them out welding or whatever they were doing at the time i enjoyed going with him to be around those guys telling stories and they had some good ones. it was alot of fun. Darrell was usually tending to his goats or painting pics and Bemo would always be ready with a good story. you could be sure of that. i sure miss those times.

I lived in Gower 30 +years.. Many of those years I worked at the restaurant downtown and for 8 years at the Pizza place. Darrell was always a welcome face around closing time.. I always made sure he had a little snack to take home..
He was a very interesting man, intelligent and good person.. A’ho and Amen Darrell
