Butch Stumph
Butch Stumph, 58 of Smithville, MO passed away, October 18, 2025.
He was born on February 18, 1967 to Clarence Ray and Sandra (Zeigler) Stumph in North Kansas City, MO. Butch grew up in Chillicothe, MO area where he attended school.
On January 8, 2005 he was united in marriage to Kelley Stumph. After their marriage they lived in Smithville where they made their home.
Butch was a car enthusiast and enjoyed restoring classic cars. Butch’s greatest accomplishment was having two of the cars he restored published on the front page of “Street Trucks Magazine”. He was a devoted friend to Jimmy Lindsey, who shared his passion for restoring cars. Butch was a proud grandfather who cherished every moment with his grandchildren. His love for them was evident in everything he did from his playful teasing to his steady yet stern “guidance.” He will be deeply missed by his grandkids who will forever cherish the memories.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Butch is survived by his wife, Kelley; children, Michael and Stephanie McBee, Camron Stumph, Kali Stumph, Natasha and Matthew Schnell; grandchildren, Ashton, Aysia, Malachi, Teagan, Nikki, Kohen, and Elijah; mother, Sandi Denman; brother, Terry; sisters, Francie, Becky, and Laura; mother-in-law, Jan Hammond; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. October 25th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, MO.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Benefit of Eli at Central Bank. A QR code will be provided at the service and a link is listed below.

I know you don’t know me, but Butch done all the fab work on my 55 ford that I had over to Lyndseys. I am sending my deepest condolences and prayers for Butch and his loved ones. Threw the coming years my car will have a special meaning, knowing this talented an skillful person had done the metal work on this car.
