Bonnie and all of Barbara’s family, I’m so sad to get this news. So very sorry for your great loss. Barbara engulfed me with friendship in high school. She was always ready to include, laugh and create a feeling of comfort. We kept in touch via letters for many years but eventually lost touch. We finally reconnected at a class reunion a few years ago but hadn’t been able to have time together. She’ll be in my heart until we do meet again.

My fondest memories of Aunt Barbara include her infectious smile and her boundless zest for life. She radiated happiness and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome, especially when hosting family gatherings.
One memory I’ll never forget happened at Grandma Clifton’s during a family reunion. Jay (my husband at the time) had no idea Aunt Barbara was a twin. When we walked into the house, Bonnie was sitting on the loveseat. Jay confidently walked over, sat down beside her, and put his arm around her like they were old friends. Everyone else knew it wasn’t Barbara, but no one said a word. Jay chatted away while Bonnie played along with a smile. Then, a few minutes later, Aunt Barbara strolled into the living room. The look on Jay’s face was priceless—we all burst out laughing, and it became the highlight of the day!
She will be deeply missed, but we take comfort in knowing that one day we will all be called home, embraced in the arms of our Lord and Savior, and reunited again.
I love her with all my heart!

Blessed to have Barbara and Bob in my life for the last 35 years. They have been to every “BIG” event in my life and have always surrounded me with love and support. I will remember her laugh, her hugs, her smile that would light up a room. I will remember how much she loved this time of year, Christmas shopping on Black Friday, Candlelight service on Christmas Eve and the scavenger hunt to find all the “treasures” Bob and her children hid for her to find. May God’s loving presence surround her family and all of us who will miss her dearly.

I am so sorry to hear about Barb. While being stationed in Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico, Barb was my second mom. The memories of the sweet smell of her homemade rolls being baked along with her homemade apple pies (only wanting to use Jonathan apples) baking in the oven. Barb was a devout wife and mother. You all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of your life. May you find comfort in God’s loving arms being wrapped around all of you.
