Wylie A. Brooks, Jr.

Wylie A. Brooks, Jr., 85, of Mission, KS, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011.

He was born on October 8, 1926 to Wylie A. and Nannie Laura (Moore) Brooks in Smithville, MO where he grew up and graduated from Smithville High School. He then attended Kansas City Business College.

Wylie worked as an accountant for Dealers Transport Services in Liberty, MO.

He was a member of Founders of American and the Sons of the Revolution. Wylie enjoyed collecting English antiques. He was a published author and wrote several family genealogy books.

Wylie was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He is survived by special friend Lee Naiman; two Pekinese dogs, Jake and Abegail; nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21^st at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial: Smithville Memorial Cemetery
