Winferd Lee King

Winferd Lee King, 80, of St. Joseph, MO passed away Monday, July 7, 2008.

He was born on February 2, 1928 to James Ernest and Bertha Eva (Drake) King in Rockport, MO. Wynn grew up in St. Joseph and attended Lafayette High School.

In 1950 he was united in marriage to Twilla Marie Raynor. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City, MO and in 1969 moved to St. Joseph where they made their home. Twilla passed away in December 1989.

Wynn worked for Guys Foods for 18 years. In 1986 he worked for OATS where he retired after 10 years of service.

He was a member of the Pony Express Ramblers Trailer Club, and loved to camp and Barbeque.

Wynn was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Willard King.

He is survived by his son, Wayde King, St. Joseph, his companion of 14 years, Betty Wolfram of the home, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 10th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower

Graveside Service: 1:00 p.m. Thursday July 10th at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph
