Wilma June (Boydston) Martin
Wilma June Martin, 84, of Camden Point, MO passed away Monday, November 10, 2014.
She was born on June 16, 1930 to Joseph Nathaniel and Thelma Ernestine (Cone) Boydston in Edgerton, MO and grew up in Camden Point. In 1948 Wilma graduated from Camden Point High School.
On June 28, 1948 she was united in marriage to Ralph Leland Martin. After their marriage they lived in Platte County where they made their home.
She was a founding member of the Church of Christ in Weston, MO. Ralph and Wilma owned and operated Martin’s Garage for over 25 years. She enjoyed catering, cooking, sewing, auctions, making pies, canning and genealogy. Wilma loved helping and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wilma was preceded by her parents, brother Joe Boydston, son Ronald Martin, grandson Steven Martin, Jr., and great-granddaughter, Stormy Martin.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ralph; children Steven Lee Martin and wife Karen, Ralph “Eddie” Martin, Debora Dianne Matthys and husband Alan; grandchildren Sami, Chuck, Shawn, Sabrina, Bob, and Rhonda; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Brandon, Emery, Colby, Caitlyn, Peyton, and Aislynn; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 14th at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Edgerton
Burial: Camden Point Cemetery
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church
Arrangements: Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower
