Wilma Jane Albertson
Wilma Jane Albertson, 99, of Smithville, MO passed away, Monday, November 14, 2016 at her home.
She was born on May 1, 1917 to Charles P. and Mary Josephine (Wallace) Cromer in Forest City, MO. She attended Monticello Grade School and in 1935 graduated from Forest City High School.
Wilma lived in Forest City, St. Joseph, and Nixa, MO and in 2006 moved to Smithville.
Wilma worked as a manager at Dairy Queen and was a cashier at Kmart, both in St. Joseph. She also worked at Skaggs Drug in Springfield, and Tastee Freeze in Nixa.
She was a member of the Forest City Christian Church.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Lloyd Albertson and Orville Noland brothers, Fred Cromer, Charles Cromer, and Alton Cromer; daughters, Mary Ella Anson and Janet Shives, and sister, Frances Noland.
She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Gossett, several grandchildren, including Jane (Hunter) Scarff and Lonnie (Berta) Sands; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; caregiver and best friend, Rozella Taylor; step children, JoAnn (Curt) Chettinger, H. (Betty) Albertson, and Paul Albertson; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 18th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial: Agency Cemetery
