William Mack Wilson
Mack Wilson, 92, of rural Stewartsville, MO, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2007 at his home.
He was born on November 5, 1914 to E. O. and Lenora (Kirkman) Wilson near Camden Point, MO where he grew up and in 1932 graduated from Camden Point High School.
On December 31, 1939 he was united in marriage to Martha R. White in Raytown, MO. After their marriage they moved to San Diego, CA where Mack worked in the shipyard. In 1944 they moved to Camden Point and in 1946 to rural Stewartsville where they farmed and made their home. His wife Martha, passed away on January 30, 1996.
Mack was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gower where he served as a Deacon, the Stewartsville Masonic Lodge #37 AF&AM where he served as past worthy patron and the Stewartsville Chapter #37 Order of Eastern Star. He also served on the East Buchanan School Board for 12 years and coached softball and baseball for many years.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
Mack is survived by three sons, Ken Wilson, Salt Lake City, UT, Jim Wilson, Trimble, MO, and Don Wilson and wife, Lisa, Kansas City, MO; three daughters, Ann Nichols and husband, Mark, Montrose, CO, Carol Pollock and husband, Dan, Havensville, KS and Joyce Lawyer and husband, Darwin, Wellsville, KS; twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, special friend, Mary Banks, St. Joseph, MO and her family, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 5th at the First Baptist Church, Gower
Burial: Allen Cemetery, Gower
Masonic Service: 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, with visitation following until 8:00 p.m.
