WILLIAM K. BURCHIT

William K. “Bill” Burchit, 71, of Edgerton, MO passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at his home.

He was born on March 18, 1935 to Harry Cordin and Frances Mary (Jenkins) Burchit in Kansas City, KS, where he grew up and graduated from Wyandotte High School. After his graduation he served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge he returned to Kansas City, KS, and later moved to rural Edgerton, MO where he made his home.

Bill worked for Colgate-Palmolive in Kansas City for over 20 years, Nash Gas in Edgerton and also farmed.

He enjoyed having many fish fries with the Platte River Boys, hunting, his dogs and most of all his children and grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his son, William “Bill” Burchit and wife, Anita, Edgerton, MO, daughter, Brenda DeLuca and husband, Jeff, Kansas City, MO, grandchildren, Jackie, W.C. and Kyle “Jake”, other relatives and many close friends.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 17th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton.
Burial: Reed Cemetery, Trimble, MO
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
