In Remembrance Of

William Douglas Brinegar

William Douglas Brinegar, 22, passed away in the loving embrace of his friends and family on May 13, 2022 in Edgerton, MO.

William was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed boating and fishing in Smithville Lake with his family. He also enjoyed hunting, tending to his family farm, and working on jobs with his father. When William wasn’t outside, he loved gaming, watching Marvel movies, as Spiderman was his favorite, and spending time with his loved ones.

William attended North Kansas City High School where he played football and graduated early in 2017. He also was a champion wrestler and saved several lives during his time as a lifeguard.

William was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William E. Brinegar.

William is survived by his wife, Triniti Brinegar; his father, William Brinegar and fiancé Joan Hawkins; mother, Tiffany Rodriquez; sisters, Mia and Kaylee Brinegar; brother, Dusty Brinegar; paternal grandmother, Patricia Brinegar; maternal grandfather, Joe Rodriquez; maternal grandmother, Lori Herrington; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that loved William immensely.

William’s presence, light, laughter, and smile will be missed more than his family and friends have the words to describe. He touched the heart of everyone he met, and his family is grateful for the time he gave us. William stands in our hearts as a reminder of strength, perseverance, love and compassion. Though we will mourn William’s loss daily, we also celebrate the amazing life he lived and know we will be reunited in time.

Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 19th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, MO.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Duckhorn Outdoor Adventure. This wonderful organization invites physical and mental disabled individuals to enjoy nature and outdoor activities in Urich, MO. William enjoyed a once in a lifetime duck hunting opportunity thanks to their generous invitation.

  • Will, I am very honored to have known you over a several months period. You have touched so many lives in your short time on this earth, mine included. You a gentle but strong warrior pressed on through many battles. You showed others what “Never Giving Up” truly means. You will be missed, but knowing we will see you again and that you are free from pain, makes things easier to bear. Love and light and blessings Will. We love you
