Wesley Allen Parmenter

Wesley Allen Parmenter, 48, of Smithville, MO passed away Monday, December 8, 2008.

He was born on February 15, 1960 to William and Darlene (Branda) Parmenter in Topeka, KS where he grew up. In 1978, he graduated from Topeka West High School.

On August 9, 1980 he was united in marriage to Janice Morelock. After their marriage they lived in Topeka and Kansas City, MO and later moved to Smithville where they made their home.

He was a member of the Smithville Dambusters where he loved to fly his model airplanes. Wes was a wonderful father who enjoyed spending time with his children and was very involved in their activities. He was a great cook and loved making special meals for his family. Wes had a great sense of humor and brought lots of laughter into the home.

Wes was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife, Janice, children, Zachary, Brittany, Courtney and Ashley all of the home; mother, Darlene Strukel and husband, Bill, Arizona; twin brother, Mitch Parmenter, Kansas City, MO; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 12th at the North Heartland Community Church, Kansas City, MO

Burial: Paradise Cemetery, Smithville.

    I am so sorry to hear about Wes! I only met Wes a few times, but those times were always very memorable. I am sure he will be greatly missed by all who knew him and especially his family. Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. May the Lord Richly Bless The Family.

    I was lucky enough to know Wes as “Sheepy” through involvement in organizing and running RC combat events in Smithville. He was a great guy, with a great sense of humor, and will be sorely missed by his friends.
