Waymeth D. (Barnes) Heath

Waymeth D. Heath, 86, of Platte City, MO passed away Monday, May 26, 2014 at New Mark Care Center.

 

She was born on March 21, 1928 to William Alexander and Emma Mae (Linder) Barnes in Clay County, MO.  She attended and graduated from Turney School District.

 

She was united in marriage to Jesse Loren Heath on November 27, 1954.  After they were married they made their home near Platte City, MO.

 

Waymeth was a loving wife, homemaker and a shining example of motherhood, sacrifice and unselfishness.  She enjoyed baking and crocheting.  Waymeth was also a very active and dedicated member of the Little Platte Baptist Church until her health prevented her attendance.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters Donna Jean Edwards and Faye Swope; one brother William A. Barnes; and two sisters Marilyn Wilson and Martha Deavers.

 

Waymeth is survived by two daughters Suzie Heath, Platte City, MO and Marie Hesseltine and husband Scott, Topeka, KS; one son David Heath and wife Pam, Platte City, MO; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother Pete Barnes; one sister Belle Williamson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service:  10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31st at Little Platte Baptist Church, Edgerton

Burial: Ridgley Cemetery

Visitation: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday May 30th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville
