In Remembrance Of

Wanita Lorene (Meyer) Foster

The lovely Wanita Lorene Foster 72, of Camden Point, MO, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday December, 5th, 2010.

Wanita was born on May 9th, 1938 to Clarence and Lorene Meyer of Camden Point, Missouri. She was raised by her paternal aunt Alma Meyer after the unexpected passing of Lorene when Wanita was a mere five days old. Wanita was a lifelong member St. John’s Lutheran Church of Farley Missouri and graduated from North Platte High School in Dearborn Missouri in 1956. After graduating high school, Wanita attended college at Missouri Valley College in Marshall Missouri and married Stephen Foster of Dearborn Missouri July 27th, 1958. Together they raised a family on her family farm in Camden Point Missouri. She was the quintessential rural homemaker that loved cooking, gardening, mowing and raising chickens. Wanita took great pride in providing for her family. After raising her family Wanita worked in Statement Services at UMB Bank in Kansas City until she retired in July 2000. In addition to her family and career Wanita enjoyed traveling, playing cards with friends and attending community events. Always the consummate hostess, no one ever left Wanita’s house hungry. Regardless, lifelong friend or new acquaintance, everyone was always offered a “cold drink and a bite to eat”. Anyone that was blessed with the privilege to know this sweet and thoughtful lady knows why there is rejoicing in heaven with her recent homecoming.

Wanita was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Lorene Meyer, and her “Mom” Alma Meyer.

Wanita is survived by her husband Stephen Foster, her children Randy Foster, David Foster and Grace, Stephanie Goodnight and Jeff, Tamara Manville and Steven, and grandchildren Andrea Wendt, Rachael Fulk and Aaron, Cody Manville, Erin Manville and Janell Manville.
