Wanda Paxton
Wanda Aileen Paxton, 84, of Agency, MO passed away April 1, 2021.
She was born on May 15, 1936 to Perry “Bus” and Helen Irene “Tootie” (Williams) Frederick in St. Joseph, MO where she grew up and attended Lafayette High School.
On November 28, 1953 she was united in marriage to Jacob Wesley “Jake” Paxton. After their marriage they lived in St. Joseph and in 1958 they moved to Agency, MO where they made their home. Jake passed away April 17, 2019.
Wanda worked for Everett Quarry and Big Smith. Most of her life she loved staying home being a homemaker, raising her children and later helping taking care of her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death husband Jake Paxton; parents Bus and Tootie Frederick; brother Jerry Fredrick; and sister Beverly Wiley.
Wanda is survived by sons Charles Paxton and wife Melody, Don Paxton and Dan Paxton and wife Peggy; grandchildren Scott (Sara) Paxton, Brandon (Elizabeth) Paxton, Timothy (Robin) Paxton, Kristen (A.J.) Fisher and Kyle (Kaitlyn) Paxton; great-grandchildren Kylee, Kole, Kyler, Konner, Elliott, Elizabeth, Brandon, Josh, and Whitley; sisters Gloria Gibson and Janice Cluck; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation: 10:00-11:30 a.m. with Funeral Services at 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 5th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower
Burial: Allen Cemetery, Gower
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Freudenthal Hospice

I work at the nursing home Wanda lived at and she was the sweetest lady! She always talked about her wonderful family that she loved so much!! I will never forget her telling me and my helper that we were her angels! I miss her a lot!!! Prayers to the family.
