Wanda June (Deardorff) Bryant

Wanda J. (Deardorff) Morris-Bryant of Smithville, MO, passed away, Sunday July 8, 2012.

Wanda was born in Platte County, MO on May 28, 1927 to Hill and Pearl (Grafton) Deardorff. She graduated from Smithville High School.

She was a member of the Hoover Christian Church. Wanda worked as Secretary/Treasurer for the Smithville R-2 School District for many years. She also volunteered at Spelman Memorial Hospital.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, Ronald Gilbert, sister, Mildred Arthur, husbands, Harold Morris and Gene Bryant.

She leaves to mourn the loss, son Keith (Barbara) Morris of Smithville, MO; daughter Connie (Fred) Sieker of Butler, MO; sister, Gladys (Benny) Harris of Platte City, MO; one grandson, Ken Sieker; two granddaughters, Kristy VanKeirsbilck and Jennifer Morris; one great-granddaughter, Adaley VanKeirsbilck; four great-grandsons, Aaron, Caleb, Andy, and Jacob Sieker; nieces, nephews, and friends. Wanda is also survived by her sister-in-law, Esther (Charles) Chaney of Lathrop, MO; brother-in-law, Jim Bryant of Excelsior Springs, MO.

Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 12^th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, MO.

Donations may be made to the Hoover Christian Church or Children’s Mercy Hospital.
