Wanda Fern (Reed) White

Wanda Fern White, 73, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Friday, May 16, 2008 at her home

She was born on November 8, 1934 in Edgerton, MO to James Monroe and Verda (Smith) Reed. In 1952, Wanda graduated from Gower High School.

On August 15, 1954 she was united in marriage to Roger White. After their marriage they lived in Nashua, MO, Edgerton, MO and in 1995 they moved to St. Joseph.

Wanda was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in St. Joseph. She worked at Wiedmaier Truck Stop, Tiffany Square and was working at Green Acres when she retired in 1995.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Jimmy Reed and a sister Mary McCarthy.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Roger of the home, sons, Dean White, St. Joseph, James White, Atchison, KS, Gary White and wife, Lisa, St. Joseph; daughters, Cathy Chaney, Stewartsville, MO, Roseanna Ray, St. Joseph, Viola Brown and husband, Melvin, St. Joseph, and Lori Lynn White and her daughter, Arianna, St. Joseph; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Thelma Libeer, Plattsburg, MO; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 19^th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower

Burial: Agency Cemetery, Agency, MO

Visitation: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
