Virginia (Morris) Anderson

Virginia Anderson, 92, of Gower, MO passed away November 14, 2007 at the Golden Living Center in Smithville.

She was born on June 23, 1915 to Floyd Matthew and Anna Belle (Rowland) Morris in Buchanan County. Virginia attended the Rising Sun Elementary School until the family moved to Troy, KS where she graduated from High School.

On October 3, 1936 she was united in marriage to C.P. Anderson. After their marriage they farmed in the Frazier area. In 1962 they moved to Gower where they made their home. C.P. passed away on April 2, 1985.

Virginia was a member of the Frazier Baptist Church, was active in the No 5 Extension Club, the No 5 4-H Club and many other community organizations.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and six brothers and sisters.

Virginia is survived by three children, Charles L. “Chuck” and Betty Anderson, Liberty, MO, Joyce and Leonard Heath, Edgerton, MO, and Don E. and Michele Anderson, Liberty, MO; ten grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower with visitation from 1:00-2:30 p.m. prior to the service.

Burial: Frazier Cemetery, Frazier, MO
