Virginia Louise (Stewart) Landall-Kern

Virginia Louise (Stewart) Landall Kern, 83, of Kansas City passed away quietly and peacefully Friday, August 7, 2009 at Liberty Hospital.

She was born on August 15, 1925 to Leland and Fannie Stewart in Smithville, MO where she grew up and in 1943 graduated from Smithville High School.

Virginia worked as an accountant from the age of 17 until 1980 for various local businesses.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert L. Stewart, husband, John Landall and only daughter, Jacqueline Y. Landall.

Virginia was an avid cat lover. In addition to her daily amusement; pride and joy, Keyboard and Peaches, she leaves behind members of her extended family, a host of friends and longtime friend, companion and caregiver Charles Sanders.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 12^th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville; Chaplain Ronald R. McCorkle officiating,

Visitation: 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service.

Burial: Smithville Memorial Cemetery
