Vicki Sellars

Vicki Sellars, 76, of Smithville, MO passed away, December 10, 2022.

Vicki Jean Sellars was born to Howard E. Rule and Mable R. (Himes) Rule on September 11, 1946.

She was a lifelong resident of Smithville, Missouri where she graduated from Smithville High in 1946. She was married to Joel (Curtis) Burchette and had two children, Lisa E. McClelland and Jason T. Burchette. 

Vicki worked for National Bellas Hess, Spelman Memorial Hospital, Zep Mfg, and retired in 2012 from the Smithville School District.

In 1981 she married Dallas W. Sellars, and established their home where Vicki was raised! Later in 1984 they had their daughter, Amanda J Loeffler. Vicki was a member of the Ridgely Christian Church where she made many dear close friends.

She loved family gatherings and the holidays. She enjoyed to the fullest grooming and caring for her yard! She often expressed after a long day of mowing just how peaceful and heavenly it was.Vicki enjoyed having a girls get away with her friend, Sheila Gregg and sometimes others, traveling to Sheila’s lake property.

She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Mable Rule; husband, Dallas W. Sellars; her son Jason T. Burchette, and many family members.

Vicki will be missed by all that knew her. She leaves two daughters, Lisa E. (Burchette) McClelland and Amanda J. (Sellars) Loeffler; daughter-in-law, Susan (Mynatt) Burchette; seven grandchildren, Krashel Jenne Burchette, Travis McClelland, Kerstin Burchette, Trent McClelland, Jesse Burchette, Cheyenne, and John Burchette, and seven great grandchildren.

The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
