In Remembrance Of
Vicki Lynn (Odle) Belcher
Vicki Lynn Belcher, 61, of Edgerton, MO passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016.
The first of four children of Lester W. and Jacque L. Odle, Vicki was born on December 7, 1954 in Houston, MO, where she will also be buried. She graduated from UMKC, later obtained her license as a Massage Therapist and Body Somatic Practitioner and attended Cleveland Chiropractic College. She had her own health and massage therapy practice in Kansas City and practiced for many years, helping everyone she met in anyway she could. She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Smithville and participated in her church family any chance that she could.
Vicki L. Belcher was truly a nurturing and giving soul. She devoted her life to caring for the health of every person she came in contact with and enjoyed spending her time reading, gardening, antiquing and learning something new every day. She loved every one of her Bouvier des Flandres dogs as family and was very partial to the color green. She was never on time, and always right, but mostly, she loved her sisters and brother, her husband, her daughter, her nieces and nephews and her two grandchildren with her whole heart.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sisters Karen Shaw and Shawn Ryan; brother Scott Odle; daughter Tessa Shull; grandchildren Ella and Oliver Shull; nieces and nephews Tyler Shaw, Allegra Klossen, Kaleb Odle and Hunter Odle. She is also survived by her husband Tim Belcher with whom she shared over 30 years of wonderful and fun memories.
A loving gathering will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28, at First Christian Church in Smithville. The family requests guests wear what makes them happy, as Vicki wouldn’t want a somber gathering. She may even suggest you pick up your favorite vegetable on the way to snack on.
Burial: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30th at Oakdale Cemetery, Houston, MO
Arrangements, Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
Donations may be made to the church.

As we thought of the family and Vicki Thanksgiving Day, we couldn’t help but think Vicki had the most wonderful feast of her life with Aunt Jacque and Uncle Bill by her side. Along with other family that’s gone ahead. Prayer for God’s peace in each of your hearts. The peace that passes understanding.

Vicki was one of the most compassionate, loving people I have ever known. Her love of God was not just words, it was her actions and kindness. She will truly be missed. Love to Tim and Tessa and other family members during this different time.
