Vernon L. Corderman

Vernon L. Corderman, 73 of Trimble, MO passed away, February 26, 2013 at his home.

He was born on May 30, 1939 to Alvernon Beryl and Elaine Lois (Staton) Corderman in Ringsted, IA.  He grew up and graduated from high school in Armstrong, IA.  In 1959 he went to work for Braniff Airlines.

On February 3, 1962 he was united in marriage to Grace McTavish.  After their marriage they moved with the airlines, working in various cities. In 1974 they settled in the Kansas City area.  Vernon retired from the airlines in 2001.

Vernon was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He loved camping and horseback riding. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant sister, Marcia.

Vernon is survived by his wife, Grace, of the home; Barry Corderman and wife Robin, Platte City, MO and Brian Corderman and wife Chris, Gower, MO; grandchildren, Jackie Corderman Jensen and husband Kenny, Brandon Corderman  and wife Amber and Jennifer Corderman; great-grandchildren, Braydon, Travis, Bryson, and Jackson; three sisters, Judy Westphal and husband Roger, Jane Mueller and husband Dave, and Beth Olson and husband Doug; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Service:  2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2^nd at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation one hour prior the service.

Inurnment at Paradise Cemetery at a later date.
