Tom Goad
Tom
Goad, 67, of Edgerton, MO passed away, Friday, August 14, 2015 at his home.
He
was born on May 15, 1948 in Plattsburg, MO.
On November 21, 1969 he was united in marriage to Carol Jean
Johnson. After their marriage they lived
in the Edgerton area and in 1990 built their new home. Tom retired at the age
of 62.
Tom
enjoyed his time working around the house and land and spending time with his
grandchildren. He liked showing Johnny
and Jacob how to catch frogs and how to clean them. Brandon and Haven helped Grandpa garden till
the flower garden. Chasity and
Christopher really loved their Papa.
Tom
received Jesus in his heart on Easter Sunday about 7 year ago. He lived his life at home doing the things he
liked to do. Tom listened to Betty Jean
Robinson Christian music and watched Preacher Charles Stanley faithfully every
Sunday.
He
was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Goad and Sallie Goad Roark,
step-father Shelby Roark; two brothers, David and Danny Goad.
He
is survived by his wife, Carol, of the home; son, Harold Goad, Edgerton, MO;
daughter, Marsha Womack, Trimble, MO; seven grandchildren, Johnny and Jacob
Womack, Brandon and Haven Goad, Sydney Thatcher, and Chasity and Christopher
Belt, three brothers, Frank (Marie), Bill (Maryann), and Steve (Beverly) Goad;
sisters, Ella Dunham and Joyce (Gary) Burke; several nieces and nephews, other
relatives and many friends.
Funeral
Services: 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 19th
at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Edgerton with visitation one hour prior to the
service.
