Tom Allison
Thomas O’Dell Allison, 79, of Gower, MO passed away, March 18, 2025.
He was born on October 28, 1945 to Jack Tom and Lily May (DeGhelder) Allison in Kansas City, MO. Tom grew up in Gower and graduated from Gower High School.
On July 3, 1965 he was united in marriage to Marietta Lou Welter. After their marriage they lived in St. Joseph. Tom served his country in the U.S. Army from 1968-1969 during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge they lived in St. Joseph and in 1973 they moved to Gower where they made their home. His wife, Marietta, passed away on November 22, 2002.
Tom worked as an installation and repairman for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 2002.
He was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Tom was also preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his children, Chad Allison (Marcie Gatton), Stacy (Jason) Grayson and Kim (Andy) Bentz; grandchildren, Justin Skeeba (Misty Trail), Kent Waller, Taylor (Emily) Allison, Austin, Derek and Mikayla Grayson, and Jacob, Jaden, Collin, and Eli Bentz; great-grandchildren, Josie, Owen, and Braxton; sister-in-law, Betty Sue (Jack) Sellars; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 24th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Gower.
Rosary 5:30 p.m. Sunday, March 23rd with a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial with Military Honors: Allen Cemetery, Gower, MO.
