Thomas Wright Hurst

Thomas Wright Hurst, 64, of Smithville, MO, formerly of Edgerton, MO and Kansas City, MO passed away Monday, April 2, 2012 at his home. Open House Memorial will be held from 1:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday, April 14^th at the home of his son Aaron T. Hurst, 8101 NE Tullis Dr. Kansas City, MO 64119.

He was born on September 25, 1947 in Kansas City, MO where he grew up and attended school. He was an accomplished musician, playing flute and piccolo.   He traveled all over the country playing with Kansas City Philharmonic Phoenix Symphony and several other Orchestra’s.

He is survived by his son, Aaron T. Hurst and daughter, Brenda Jean Hurst; grandchildren, Raelyn, Xander, and Cyrus; brother, Allen McLane Hurst, Jr., Kansas City, MO; sister, Rebecca Hollyfield, Richmond, MO; several nieces, nephews and cousins, other relatives and many friends.
