Thomas Jones, Jr.

 

 

Thomas Jones, Jr., 71 of Weston, MO and Rushville, MO passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Baptist Health Lexington in Lexington, KY.

 

He was born on March 28, 1942 to Thomas Henry and Bertha Mae (Rose) Jones in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky where he grew up and graduated high school.  He later served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a Spec  4.  After his honorable discharge he lived in the Weston and Rushville area.

 

Tom was a truck driver most of his life, and retired from Penske Trucking.  Tom was a member of the VFW. He enjoyed working on old cars.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Phyllis Thompson and Ruby Hall.

 

Tom is survived by his children, Randy Jones, Eaton, OH, Peggy Townsend, Prudenville, MI and Tommy Jones, Platte City, MO; granddaughter, Kylee Gregg; sisters, Carolyn Carter and Alice Goodpaster; special friend Marge Wade; other relatives and many friends.

 

Graveside Service with Military Honors:  11:00 a.m. Monday, August 5^th at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Weston, MO.
