Theodore F. Golden, Sr.

THEODORE F. GOLDEN, SR.

Theodore Franklin Golden, Sr., 77, of Dearborn, MO, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at North Kansas City Hospital.

He was born on November 19, 1928 to George William and Martha Ann (Butts) Golden in Dearborn where he grew up and graduated from Dearborn High School. Theodore then served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge he returned to Dearborn where he farmed.

On May 24, 1955 he was united in marriage to Virginia Andrews. After their marriage they lived in Dearborn where they made their home.

Theodore also worked for the Missouri State Highway Department and for the Ford Motor Company in Claycomo, MO where he retired after 31 ? years.

He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Edgerton, MO, and the Local Union # 249. Theodore loved gardening, working around the farm and most of all loved being around and reminiscing with his family and friends.

Theodore was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Edith Woolover McCoy and brothers, Mitchell Paul Golden and George W. Golden.

He is survived by his wife Virginia and son Ted Golden of the home, son Owen Golden, St. Joseph, MO and his children Sunni and Sadie Golden, daughter, Elizabeth Claypole and husband, Dale, Dearborn, dear friend and relative, John Sellars, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

    I Love you Pop and miss you very much. I have a lot to say to you and wish we could just sit in the front yard and talk for awhile. I’ll see you again one day and we’ll have plenty of time to reminisce. I Love you.
