Please, put your hand onto your heart as a tribute to a very special woman who left kind and peaceful values in the hearts and lives of generations of eager and attentive children.  She got the very most out of life because she know in her heart that she was needed every day.  Don't be sad and let pessimism cloud your ability to see the good in one another and value family, sharing life together, and remembering what grandma, what mom, what your teacher, and what the church has told you that will give you courage, pride, and happy memories to light your life for ever and ever after.  Blessings. You left family and friends that will miss you because you showed them that they were important to you.

Dear Family,I'm Aunt Thelma's great niece, Laura (and Patsy Grooms's daugher).  I want to pass on my condolences to all of her family including Daryl Walkup and wife Pat, Cheryl Budine and husband Ron and Rita Ellington and husband Gary, and all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.I feel very blessed to have such wonderful memories from my childhood visiting Aunt Thelma and her family and farm.  I remember vividly playing with the pigs (though we got in trouble for that!) and enjoying time with her, Aunt Melba, Grandma Giddens, Grandma Grooms and all the rest.I also appreciate all of the letters she sent me, mostly around holiday time, to help keep me updated on the goings on in Missouri.  I still have all of them!It was wonderful to see her at her 94th birthday party in Missouri and at Aunt Karin and Uncle Bob's Wedding Vow Renewal ceremony in Colorado.    As always, I wish I could have spent more time with her. We prayed for her in my Sunday School Class on the Sunday before she passed away.  I am happy for her that she is now with loved ones who have also been born unto eternal life.Grandma Grooms has been my Angel since she passed away when i was a teenager.  Now we all have another angel to watch over us.God bless you all.All my love, Laura
