Thelma (Ball) Slayden
Thelma Adele Slayden, of Platte City, MO formerly of Dearborn, MO died at home and went to be with the Lord September 16, 2014.
Thelma was born December 7, 1929, in West Plains, MO, to Ben W. and Bessie Ruth (Daniels) Ball. She graduated from Webb City High School, Webb City, MO.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dearborn, MO. Thelma enjoyed being with her family and loved to cook.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and father of her children, Ray V. Bottom, son Raymond Dale Bottom, infant daughter, sisters Vicki Lynn Blakely and Betty L. Pine, nephew Ricky Dale Pine, and husband Doyle E. Slayden.
She is survived by her son, Curtis Bottom and wife, Shirley; sister Sandra Tharp, brother Vernon Ball and wife Ursella, grandchildren Sherrie Coulter and husband Regie, and Melissa Bottom, great grandchildren, Cason and Cainan Coulter, Siera Hind, nephew Pete Keller and wife, Deanna, and great niece Lindsey Keller, nephew Ben Keller and wife, Lisa, and great nieces, Lauren and husband Garrett and Haylea, niece Lindell R. Lindsey, great niece Amy and husband Todd, nephew Chris Stubbs and wife, Megan, and great niece Jaycie and great nephew, Boden, and nephew Shannon Stubbs, niece Nicole Leach, and nephew, James Blakely.
Visitation: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18th at New Market Christian Church
Private family inurnment: New Market Cemetery.
