Thelma A. Kisky
Thelma A. Kisky, 96, of Gower, MO passed away, Monday, October 10, 2016.
She was born on December 20, 1919 to Guy H. and Minnie (Purkey) Banta in Sterling, Colorado. Thelma grew up and attended school in Topeka, KS.
On September 2, 1937 she was united in marriage to Donald J. Kisky. After their marriage they lived in Kansas City, Paradise, and Cameron. In 1995 they moved to Gower where they made their home. Her husband, Donald, passed away September 13, 2003.
During WWII, Thelma worked on Bomber engines and ammunitions. For several years she owned and operated Thelma’s Beauty Shop in Paradise and Cameron.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother Tessie Banta, two sisters, Margaret Gilmer and Grace Banta and two brothers, Ronald and Harold Banta, and step-brother, Omer Barns.
Thelma is survived by her son, Donald D. Kisky and wife Judy, Princeton, MO; daughter, Darlene Still and husband Ron, Trimble, MO; grandchildren, Debbie (Terry) Still, Ray (Lisa) Wait, Tammy Galang, Troy (Angela) Kisky, Tracy (Kandi) Kisky; ten great-grandchildren, Ashley, Shelby (Reed), Nate, Jessica, Rachael, Kaleb, Kaylee, Janelle, Jacqueline, and Kourosh; one great-great-grandson, Brayden; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial: Ridgely Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the cemetery.

My Thoughts and Prayers to all family members..Thelma was a very Loving person just like her daughter Darlene..I Love to visit with her. She would tell me about her and Donny fishing in the pond and having a fish fry that evening.. She Loved the simple things in Life that God has given us to Enjoy….God Bless….
