In Remembrance Of

Terri LMay (Howard) Ormond

Terri LMay Ormond, 59, of Smithville, MO passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2010 after a long struggle with COPD at her son's home in Phoenix, Arizona.

Affectionately known as "Peaches" while growing up, Terri was born on October 7, 1950 in Evanston, IL, the daughter of Jean M. Howard and Robert J. Howard. She graduated from Maine West High School in 1968. Terri spent most of her life in Illinois – where she very well may have served you that one drink that maybe sent you over the limit at Ki's Restaurant, where she worked for many years; but also lived in San Leandro, CA before moving to Smithville in 2001 where she worked for several years putting smiles on customer's faces at Price Chopper.

She is survived by her only son, Ronald May of Phoenix, AZ and her sister, Patricia S. Reinoso of Smithville, MO.

Terri was an avid lover of animals her entire life – stuffed or otherwise. Especially of cats…of which, she leaves behind her real cats – her beloved Rat and Lucifer. She was also a ravenous fan of anything and everything sweet. Should Godiva Chocolates be reading this, please feel free to send along some truffles her way. She was an avid supporter of PETA and many animal support agencies. Terri was also a proud member of Good Shepherd's Bunko group.

She was preceded in death by her brother, mother, and grandmother.

She will be cremated at Samaritan Funeral Home of Phoenix, AZ.

Visitation: 2:00-3:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.

Services in Illinois are currently pending. If you would like more information on plans for the Illinois celebration, please contact her son, Ronald at rmay@straycattheatre.org

If you would like more information on plans for the Missouri services, please contact her sister, Patricia at psrinoso@aol.com

While we can shed tears that she has gone, she has requested we smile…because she lived.
