Tamera Jayne Buchanan

Tamera Jayne Buchanan, 49, of Smithville, MO passed away September 5, 2007 at Liberty Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

She was born on November 5, 1957 to Jerry and Georgetta (Stalder) Buchanan. Tammy was a lifelong resident of Smithville and a 1976 graduate of Smithville High School. In 1992 she graduated cum laude from Missouri Western State College with a major in accounting and a minor in history.

Tammy was employed by ConAgra Foods in Kansas City, Kansas.

She was a devoted animal lover and enjoyed planting flowers.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Buchanan.

She is survived by her mother, Georgetta Buchanan, Smithville; one brother, Eric Buchanan and wife, Belinda, Smithville; three nieces Maddy Buchanan, Holly Buchanan and Ashley Herring and husband, Drake; Ron Brenton, Kansas City, MO, Sari Tierney, Horn Lake, MS; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 9^th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville

Burial: Ridgely Cemetery, Ridgely, MO

Visitation: 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
