Suzie Heath

Susan L. Heath, 63, Platte City, MO passed away, Saturday, January 19, 2019.

She was born on October 14, 1955 to Jesse Loren and Waymeth Dorline (Barnes) Heath in Smithville, MO. Suzie grew up in rural Platte City and graduated from North Platte High School in 1974. She then attended Missouri Western State College where she received her Associate Degree in Nursing. Suzie also received her certification as a Rehabilitation Nurse and Med-Surg Nurse.

Suzie worked for Liberty Hospital and recently North Kansas City Hospital.

She was a member of the Little Platte Baptist Church. Suzie loved to collect bears and travel with her friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, and sisters, Donna Jean Edwards and Faye Edwards Swope.

Suzie is survived by one sister, Marie Hesseltine and husband Scott; brother, David Heath and wife Pam; niece Becky Pendleton; nephews, Travis Hesseltine, Ryan Hesseltime, Chad Heath, Craig Swope, and Lee J. Swope; and several great nieces and great nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Service:  3:00 p.m Saturday, February 9th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Smithville with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Donations may be made to Little Platte Baptist Church or Ridgely Cemetery.

    So sorry for your loss. I worked with Suzie at North Kansas City Hospital. I was shocked to hear that she passed and will truly miss her. She was a great nurse and a wonderful friend at the hospital.

She was strong, supportive and an all around good person. I will forever remember our travels together from Branson to the Bahamas. Rest in peace my friend.
