SUE WILHOIT

Sue Wilhoit, 61, of Smithville, Mo., passed away, Friday, February 3, 2006 at her home.

She was born on April 17, 1944 to William Edgar and Sarah Estelle (Hagewood) Christy in Charlotte, Tennessee, where she attended school and grew up.

On February 11, 1961 she was united in marriage to John F. Wilhoit. After their marriage they lived in Smithville, Lathrop and Kansas City North. In 1988 they returned to Smithville where they made their home. Her husband, John, passed away on November 4, 1992.

John and Sue were very active and involved with the Association for Retarded Citizens for many years. Sue enjoyed ceramics and boating and was an avid Kansas City Chief?s Fan.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Roy Lee, Jay, and Bo, and two sisters, Annie and Frances.

Sue is survived by three children, Valerie Lynn Kelso and husband, Craig, Lee?s Summit, Mo., Jeffery S. Wilhoit and Jamie S. Wilhoit, both of Kansas City, Mo., three grandchildren: Bradley Kelso, Marc Kelso and Christie Van Meter, all of Lee?s Summit, Mo., one brother, Horrace Eugene Christy, Charlotte, Tennessee, sisters-in-law, Mary Quinn, Lathrop, MO, Shirley Snow, Platte City, MO, and Linda Rule, Smithville, MO, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
BURIAL: Paradise Cemetery
VISITATION: 6:00-8:00 P.M., Monday, at the funeral home.
