STEVE R. SCOTT

Steve R. Scott, 48, of Smithville, Mo., passed away, Sunday, March 27, 2005.

He was born on January 9, 1957 to Bobby Dean ?Scotty? and Mary Ellen (Boner) Scott near Darlington, Mo. He grew up in Smithville and later graduated from Smithville High School in 1975. Steve later moved to California where he attended Orange Coast College in Newport Beach, Ca. He returned to Smithville in 1994 where he made his home.

Steve worked in maintenance for Spelman Hospital in Smithville, was a Construction Project Manager for several restaurant franchises, and recently worked for Fall Creek Construction Company based out of Atlanta, Ga.

He was preceded in death by his father on September 26, 2004.

Steve is survived by his mother, Mary, of the home, five brothers and two sisters, Gary and Terri Scott, Ferrelview, Mo., John and Connie Turner, Smithville, Mo, Kevin Scott, Smithville, Mo., David and Lori Scott, Kansas City, Mo., Bob and Linda Chesnut, Edgerton, Mo., Donnie Scott, Kansas City, Mo., and Michael Reece Scott, Houma, La., several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.

Steve was a generous and giving son, brother, and uncle and will be sadly missed.

Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, Mo.
Burial: I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Smithville, Mo.
Visitation: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Smithville.
