Sonjia Rogers
Sonjia Lee Rogers, 72, of Edgerton, MO passed away February 4, 2019.
She was born on July 23, 1946 to Ralph Leroy and Helen Pauline (Heiserman) Masoner in Kansas City, MO. She grew up in Edgerton and graduated from North Platte High School.
On June 23, 1966 she was united in marriage to William Eugene Rogers. After their marriage they lived in Edgerton where they made their home.
Sonjia was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She worked for Bank of Weston and Harmer’s Café. Sonjia was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by mother Helen (Heiserman) Masoner and her grandparents Gilbert and Virginia Heiserman and Ralph and Madeline Masoner.
Sonjia is survived by her husband Bill Rogers; sons Billy Rogers, Rick Rogers and Chad Rogers and fiancé Jeri Hiede; grandchildren Jordynn, Megan, Kylie, Shawn, Ashley, Ryan and wife Blaise, Cody, Kortney, Olivia, and Caden; great-grandchildren Liham, Olivia, Lucy, Ava and Kyndall; father R.L. Masoner; brother Butch Masoner and wife Sandy; several niece and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation: 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday, February 8th with Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. all at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Edgerton.
Burial: Ridgely Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
