Sidney E. Parks
Sidney E. “Tex” Parks, 72, of Smithville, MO, passed away, Thursday, April 29, 2010.
He was born on February 23, 1938 to Marvin Edward and Marion Elizabeth (Fifer) Parks in Caldwell County, and attended school in Hardin.
In 1961 he was united in marriage to Edith Mae Sudbury. After their marriage they lived in the Smithville area, where they made their home.
He worked for Columbian Steel Tank Company for 41 years, retiring in 1999.
Sidney was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Edith, of the home; daughter, Deanna Hathaway and husband, Bruce; son, Richard Parks and wife, Barbette, all of Smithville; grandchildren, Kurt Hathaway and wife, Katy, and Justin and Tayler Parks; brother, Melvin Parks and wife, Donna, Kansas City, Kansas; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation: 10:30-12:30 p.m. Monday, May 3rd at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
Graveside Service: 2:30 p.m. Wakenda Cemetery, Hardin, MO
