Shirley Knox

Shirley Knox, 74, of Platte County, MO passed away, Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at her home.

She was born on March 21, 1945 to Arthur Delmer and Ruth May (Fields) Rogers in North Kansas City, MO. Shirley grew up in Maple Park, MO and Nashua, MO.

On December 13, 1961 she was united in marriage to Clarence Wesley Knox. After their marriage they lived in the Basswood area near Platte City where they made their home. Her husband, Clarence, preceded her in death on January 4, 2009.

Shirley was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Smithville and the Assembly of God. She was also preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her children, Judy Wilson and husband Pat, Laura Collier (Francisco Saucedo), and William Knox; eight grandchildren, Augusta Chable, Misty Johnson, John Knox, David Knox, Corey Harrison, Britney Brown, Jennifer Tidwell and Haley Harrison; twenty-two wonderful great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lee Faulconer and Sharon Cummings; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 22nd at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.

Burial: Ridgely Cemetery

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
