Sherman L. Hill

Sherman Hill, 69, of Smithville, MO passed away, Sunday, October 13, 2013.

He was born on December 28, 1943 to Clinton Harfer and Lucy Bernice (Hefnel) Hill in New Martinsville, West Virginia.  Sherman grew up in Hillsboro, West Virginia where he graduated high school.  He then served his country in the U.S. Air Force. 

On August 21, 1972 he was united in marriage to Linda Boyd in Miami, Oklahoma.  After their marriage they lived in Smithville where they made their home.

Sherman retired after 35 years as a mechanic for TWA Airlines, and also farmed for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Marion, and two sisters, Thelma and Rowena.

Sherman is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; children, Shea Hill and Damon Hill; two grandchildren, Lauren Ashley and Brody Lee; two brothers, Harper Hill and Roy Hill; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Service:  11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 16^th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Inurnment:  Smithville Memorial Cemetery.
